On-grid electricity

Zanzibar currently imports all of its grid electricity through cables from the mainland, but has plans for production of renewable energy based on indigenous solar and wind resources. There are currently no mini-grids on the islands, but a number of households and businesses produce their own electricity using privately owned generators (which is captured in the database through the import of fossil fuels).
